MONO
MONO is an independent textile house founded by Cindy Monier and
Nathan.
Rooted in craftsmanship and emotional storytelling, MONO creates
hand-knit and embroidered pieces that exist beyond seasons and
trends. Each creation begins with a memory, a landscape, a place,
a personal story, and becomes a textile interpretation shaped by
hand.
We do not produce collections in the traditional sense.
We create singular works.
Every piece is either unique or developed in close dialogue with
the client, allowing textile to become an intimate language.
MONO is built on five foundations:
Humanity. Memory. Singularity. Transmission. Timelessness.
We believe what lasts is what carries meaning.
Cindy Monier
Founder & Creative Director
Cindy Monier founded MONO as an extension of her lifelong
relationship with craft.
Raised in the French countryside, she grew up observing her
grandmother knit and sew, learning early that time, patience and
repetition could transform thread into something lasting. This
sensitivity to handmade process became central to her creative
identity.
After studying fashion design in Toulouse, she moved to London
where she worked as a hand embroiderer. There, she refined her
technical discipline and discovered embroidery as a narrative
tool. Later, working within the luxury industry in Paris allowed
her to understand the structure and expectations of high-end
craftsmanship.
MONO is the synthesis of these experiences, heritage and
contemporary awareness, intimacy and structure.
Her work focuses on translating memory into material form,
creating pieces that exist between garment and artwork.
Nathan
Artistic Partner
Nathan collaborates as artistic partner and contributes to the
conceptual direction of MONO.
His connection to natural landscapes and texture informs the
emotional tone of the collections. His perspective brings a
complementary sensibility, grounding each piece in atmosphere and
movement.
Together, they develop MONO as a dialogue between structure and
intuition.
